Clinics & Camps

What a PPL clinic is

A clinic is a short block of coaching that stands on its own. You are not signing up for a membership and you are not committing to a season. You pick the one that fits your player, you register, and they show up and train. Some run as a single day, some run as a block of weeks. Every one of them is coached by the same staff who work with PPL athletes the rest of the week, on the same floor, with the same equipment.

Who they are for

Players who want real coaching without a year-round commitment, and families who want to see what PPL is like before they join. A clinic is often the first time a player throws in front of us, and it is a fair way to find out whether the room is right for them. Clinics are also where younger players start, because the group format suits an age that learns well alongside other kids.

You do not need to be advanced and you do not need to be a pitcher. Every clinic says plainly who it is built for, and if you are not sure which side of an age line your player falls on, ask us rather than guessing.

What a session looks like

We watch before we teach. Players are assessed early so the drills can be set to what they can actually do that day, rather than to a group average. From there the work is hands-on and the groups stay small enough that a coach sees every rep. Most sessions end with competition of some kind, because that is the part players talk about on the way home and the part that shows whether the work held up under pressure.

Where they run

PPL has three facilities in Kentucky: Lexington, Louisville and Marion. Each clinic lists the building it runs in. Not every clinic runs at every location, so check the one you are registering for.

Clinics, camps and lessons

A clinic or a camp is a one-off block of group coaching. If what you want instead is ongoing individual work on a pitcher's delivery, that is pitching lessons rather than a clinic, and for 8 to 12 year olds it is PPL Youth. If you are not sure which one you want, book a free consult and we will tell you straight.
